World Parkinson's Day - 11th April Posted on 12 Apr 2022

We’re shining a light on the fastest growing neurological condition in the world. At least 600 people across our local communities live with Parkinson’s. We want them, their families and friends to know that they are not alone. There’s a whole world of support out there. Find out more below.

A support group meets last Thursday in month (12.30-2.30pm) at Wiggly Willow Club House, Hockerill St, Bishop's Stortford CM23 2DW for Cafe style catch up & sharing.
(April 28, May 26, June 30, July 28, Sept 29, Oct 27, Nov 24)

A good pathway & programme is in place for anyone newly diagnosed or living longterm with Parkinson's. If you have a diagnosis or support someone who has, please drop by the cafe at Grange Paddocks (Rye St, Bishop's Stortford CM23 2HH) Monday 11th or Tuesday 12th April to find out about free annual leisure centre membership for anyone with a diagnosis plus one. We will be showcasing Local Neuro-friendly physical activities & NHS Nursing, Speech, Physio, Occupational therapies etc).

Contact Claire.uwins@mac.com, tel 07595 6742421 for further details or just come along anytime between 10 - 2.30pm on either day for a free cuppa and a chat about all the helpful and hopeful stuff going on in our locality to dramatically improve the lives of those navigating this challenging long term condition.
